First worship service of East Whittier Lutheran Mission (later named St. Andrew Lutheran Church) held at Clock Country Club; 138 persons present.

Commissioning service for Pastor Verner Carlsen held at Trinity Lutheran Church in Norwalk, California.

First Sunday School held; 63 children enrolled.

Charger Sunday; 83 adults sign church charter.

Groundbreaking ceremony held for new church building (the current Fellowship Hall)

First meeting of the women of the church; 32 women present.

“Organization Sunday” services held; 268 members received.

First service held in new building (the current Fellowship Hall) although not complete; 267 present.

First youth confirmation class held; 10 young people enrolled.

Dedication of first church building. Dr. William Larsen, Synod president, officiated, assisted by Reverend Christian Justesen, president, Pacific District, and local UELC pastors.

First Altar Guild formed to prepare and care for the sacramental appointments.

Second Sunday worship service added at 8:30 am due to increased attendance (initial 10:45 am service moved to 11:00 am)

Youth choir formed for 7th-12th graders; first performance held the following Sunday.

Groundbreaking for present sanctuary.

Laying and blessing of the cornerstone for the new sanctuary.
